In the wave class we will learn to move through the rhythms of flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. This practice helps us balance the mind, body and emotions. This is an exploration of internal body rhythms and a method of tuning into nature’s dance. We use eclectic music and various movement exercises to release tension and unlock physical creativity. This is not a practice of learning dance steps. It is a practice of freeing ourselves and letting go. We break through our usual physical patterns, examine human interaction and find stillness within our own unique movement.
This life-transforming practice is suitable for all ages and all levels of physical fitness. It will also support whatever practice you are exploring now, or offer a strong start to self-exploration. Drops in Welcome. No previous experience is necessary. Please bring plenty of water and loose clothing or clothes you would wear to a yoga class. Layers are recommended to feel more comfortable during warm-up and cool down parts of the class.

About the Teacher
Evangelos Diavolitsis is a certified 5Rhythms facilitator & meditation teacher who trained directly with 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth. Evangelos creates an atmosphere that is adventurous and safe, weaving a delicate chemistry of humour & analytical self-exploration. The healing modalities he is trained in create a space where individuals acknowledge, move through and release conditioned patterns from the past.
Evangelos’ compassionate and investigative nature encourages participants to dance through each of the five rhythms (Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness) by cultivating pristine awareness through body-based investigation. He has taught across Canada, Japan, Europe and the U.S. See Full Bio.
