Ataraxía – A 5Rhythms® Movement Retreat with Taeji and Evangelos in Paros, Greece

May 19, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - May 26, 2017 @ 12:00 pm

$690

Ataraxía is a very good word for the practice of living:  ongoing, stable contentedness.  Uncontrived… spontaneous…  It is the embodiment of ‘enough’.

A movement retreat is a retreat from unreality and from the churning mind, a return to simplicity.  It is dancing life in a simple, spontaneous way from moment to moment.  We will practice returning to Ataraxía, to ‘enough’, with the aim of making it a stable part of our everyday lives.

This breath is enough.  This footstep is enough.  Feeling this or feeling that, both are enough.  It is enough to move as you are moved.  It is enough to follow the situation, animated by inspiration.

Not knowing is also enough.  If you know where to return, come practice moving from that uncontrived center.  If you don’t know where to return, come study how to find and trust it.  That is enough to go on: your bold unrestraint, your dive into the new moment.
